I wrote this up in a cabin while working on my old record, Hermitage. I really like the piano figure, simple and sweet, structured but loose at the same time. The song came out of nowhere, all at once, and I was lucky enough to be recording.
lyrics
The lightning bug is on your shoulder
The life you kept is one year older
The words you thought were clear as day
are wrapped in cellophane
It's time to show what's in the oven
It's time to let em see what's broken
It's time to know what thoughts are stale
You know the kids don't pay
The kids don't pay
for cellophane.

Recorded on the Grecian isle of Hydra, this is blissed-out psych pop with stacked falsetto harmonies and luscious arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 9, 2023
Two dozen 12-string acoustic improvisations that feel undeniably haunting, like lost transmissions from ancient Appalachia, rediscovered. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2022
